TUNING

For this reason, tuning a piano at least once a year is very important. Equally important is to assign this procedure to an experienced tuner. A professional piano tuner is mainly operating using his/her own hearing ability. Such a tuning, without the aid of any digital devises, is termed as “professional tuning” and results in the optimal performance of the keyboard instrument. The yearly tuning includes the thorough examination of the mechanical parts. This happens in order to identify and fix any minor problems that might exist before they turn into major ones, necessitating a costly intervention, and when worse comes to worst, the replacement of the action.

A so called “silent system” gives the piano player the possibility to enjoy this sound individually on his/her headphones, without disturbing anyone else. The analog sound of the classical piano is being converted into digital and can be transferred to loudspeakers, without the need of a microphone, or used as a midi input to a computer for its digital processing. The installation of such systems necessitates excellent technical knowledge but also experience. This is something that we are dealing with for many years.
